What is EPF?
The Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is a mandatory retirement scheme administered by EPFO. You contribute 12% of basic+DA; your employer contributes 12% — of which 8.33% goes to the EPS pension scheme and 3.67% to your EPF balance. The combined EPF balance earns annual interest declared by EPFO.
Formula
This calculator compounds the monthly EPF contribution at the EPF rate, growing your basic salary every year by the growth rate you enter.
Monthly EPF contribution ≈ 15.67% × basic (12% employee + 3.67% employer share to EPF) Balance grows at the EPF rate, compounded monthly.
