What is In-Hand Salary?
CTC (Cost To Company) is the total amount your employer spends on you, including components that never reach your bank account (employer PF, gratuity, insurance). In-hand salary is what actually lands every month after employee PF, professional tax and TDS.
Formula
Gross annual = CTC − Employer PF − Gratuity Taxable income = Gross − Std. deduction (₹75k) − Employee PF Income tax = Tax(Taxable, New Regime) × 1.04 (4% cess) Annual in-hand = Gross − Employee PF − Professional tax − Income tax Monthly = Annual in-hand / 12
How to use this calculator
Enter your annual CTC and the basic-salary percentage from your offer letter (typically 40–50%). The calculator estimates monthly in-hand using New Regime tax rules and standard PF / professional tax assumptions. Real numbers vary by company structure, city, and variable pay timing.
