What is Salary Hike?
A salary hike is the percentage increase from your current pay to a new pay. Use it to evaluate an appraisal letter, a job switch, or to project a target salary based on an expected raise.
Formula
Two directions:
Hike % = (New − Current) / Current × 100 New salary = Current × (1 + Hike% / 100)
How to use this calculator
Pick whether you want to find the hike percentage (from two known salaries) or project a new salary (from a known hike). Salaries can be monthly or annual — the math is the same as long as both are on the same basis.
