What is Tip?

A tip calculator works out a percentage gratuity on a bill and splits the final total across any number of people. In India, tipping is optional and usually 5–10% when service charge is not already added.

Formula

Simple percentage of the bill, then divided by the group size:

Tip = Bill × Tip% / 100
Total = Bill + Tip
Per person = Total / Number of people
